CAD Technician
Competition # CI-NL-CT-07-10

The CAD Technician reports directly to the Lead Engineer – EI&C.

Responsibilities:

·      Execute all electronic drafting work assignments for multiple project managers and field service technicians, as required.

·      Contribute to ongoing development of engineering office drafting standards and ensure that all drawings are prepared to standard.

·      Coordinate the review, approval and distribution of completed drawings.

·      Maintain project drawing filing system.

·      Assist with proposal preparation and report writing activities as required.

 Qualifications:

·      Minimum post secondary certificate in computer aided design or drafting. Three year diploma in electronics technology (instrumentation option) preferred.

·      3-5 years experience in preparation of electrical, instrumentation, and control system drawings.

·      Proficiency in AutoCAD.

·      Effective interpersonal skills and a strong orientation toward client satisfaction.

·      Proficiency in the use of the MS Office Suite of products.

·      Experience in AutoCAD Electrical and/or skills in process mechanical drafting are desired assets.

 

Instrumentation Technologist(s)
(Junior Positions)
Competition # CI-NL-IT-07-10 

The Instrumentation Technologist reports directly to the Instrumentation Lead and is responsible for performing engineering project office and field service tasks pertaining to EI&C system design, systems integration services, and field services.

 Responsibilities:

·      Project estimating, planning, and/or procurement assignments in support of Project Managers.

·      PLC/SCADA programming.

·      Panel assembly and repair activities in our CSA certified shop.

·      Instrumentation calibration, both in lab and field service roles.

·      Field trouble-shooting and repair of client EI&C systems.

Qualifications:

·      3-year diploma in electronics technology (instrumentation option).

·      1-3 years experience.

·      Effective interpersonal skills and a strong orientation toward client satisfaction.

·      Proficiency in the use of the MS Office Suite of products.

·      Prior experience in automation system troubleshooting and repair OR a desire to learn.

·      Prior experience in PLC/SCADA programming OR a design to learn.

·      A valid driver’s license and the interest, desire and flexibility to allow occasional travel.

 

Shipper-Receiver
Competition # CI-NL-SR-07-10

The Shipper-Receiver reports to the Financial Accountant and is responsible for the orderly flow of materials from suppliers, through our lab and fabrication shop, and to our clients.

Responsibilities:

·         Shipping and receiving and related electronic record keeping.

·         Initiating work orders and material requisitions.

·         Arranging inbound and outbound shipments.

·         Crating / palletizing shipments.

·         Maintaining clean and safe inventory stores and shop space.

·         Stock counts and maintenance of associated records, including MSDS.

·         Ensuring appropriate consumable stores.

Qualifications:

·         Proficiency in the use of the MS Office Suite of products.

·         Effective interpersonal skills.

·         Basic carpentry skills.

·         Forklift experience/certification.

·         A valid driver’s license.

·         Detail-oriented.
